Directions

Plelase do not follow any GPS or Google maps for the dirt roads after leaving Vaalwater.

Take the M1 North from Johannesburg. After passing through Midrand, take the offramp left to Polokwane (Pietersburg). From O R Tambo, take the R21 north to Pretoria. After passing Pretoria stay on the N1 heading North to Polokwane.

After passing through 2 toll gates and after about 140 km, at the Kranskop toll gate, turn left to Modimolle/ (Nylstroom).

Drive through Modimolle/Nylstroom to Vaalwater (about 70km)

Drive through Vaalwater and turn right at the Spar/Total garage where the R33 branches off right to Ellisras (Lephalale). Please message or phone the lodge when you leave Vaalwater, so that they know when to expect you (the lodge will send someone to meet you if you don’t arrive when expected).

After 33.4 km, turn right off the tar road and on to a gravel road towards Visgat.

After 10.8 km, at a T-junction, turn left.  Carry on with this road (ignore the road branching off to the right sign-postedSukses).  

After 24.1 km, turn left towards Georgetown (there is a Cape Dutch house on the left).

After 9.1 km turn left into Molapo’s entrance. There is a manual gate to open.  After this there is one more gate which requires a code to open and from this gate head straight – it is about 1.5km to the lodge.
